After presentations of several bureaus NRC Media chose Thonik to develop the brand identity for NRC.
The brand identity is based on the keywords as sharpness, immersion and openness. Thonik will develop a consistent line of communication for NRC Media.
The NRC managing board thinks Thonik fits with its newspapers and websites because of their understanding of the relation between different news products and that the core of a modern news publisher consists of producing and selling knowledge and information regardless the media.

The new campaign will kick off at the beginning of 2010.

Thonik wins award at Dutch Design Award

With their design for 11th Architecture Biennale Thonik wins an award in the category of corporate identity.
The jury report says: ‘A good, thought through design with a lot of application possibilities. A little loud but therefore effective. A design that stands out.’
About the corporate identity: An easily recognisable brand identity is indispensable for a temporary event. That is why the 11th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice called on Thonik design agency. The world globe and archetypical house became the central symbols, which can be used both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally. The design allows for endless configurations and series.

The design was awarded earlier this year by the Art Directors Club Nederland (ADCN).
